I was grown up and behaved in the Kharkiv region, Ukraine by my grandparents, in a cozy little town where no one is in a hurry, it’s a safe and calming place.

'Katerina Marchenko stitches brightly colored threads into tulle to form elaborate embroidered images of animals, portraits, and anatomical studies.
In their hoops, Marchenko’s pieces work as framed thread paintings. bird and angel wings appear to have dimension and human eyes pop thanks to the artist’s attention to color harmony and shading.'

I skip the sketching phase and start each new piece with outlining before allowing improvisation and the process itself to dictate what the final design will look like.
'Flowering of the Soul' 2020
In 2020 I worked on the most fulfilling collaboration with Gigi Hadid & V Magazine.
I expressed the theme of quarantine through a girl in mask , she can be anyone, a doctor, a nurse, an artist, an ordinary passerby. In a pandemic, we are all equal, each of us wears a mask and other personal protective equipment for global security.
In 2021 I started working on a brand new embroideries on a walls. Embroidery is a meditative process which helps me to calm down and gather all my thoughts.
